Mr. Uno Interview

"My country had made a terrible mistake in judging us because of our race rather than as a person. And that, uh, we had to live with that. And, you know no matter where we went, in Europe, or whether it was Italy or France... or when we see what had happened in Asia. You know the United States is still the most wonderful place in the world to live. And it's a place that I would, still today, if were asked to, I would give my life to that... to preserving my country."

Interview with Mr. Erni Uno, 442nd Veteran and Internee in the Amache Internment Camp
