Hey and Wazzup! My name is Melissa aka "Shape Shooter Suger Cookie(S3C)" and I'm going to graduate from the 6th grade. I am 11 years old. My Birthday is on September 21. I have a younger brother and sister and two dogs. My hobbies are going to the beach, talking on the phone, surfing the web, going shopping, hanging with my friends, dancing hula and going surfing. The things I learned from Think Quest are doing a FLASH animation, learning tables, programming a message board, and how to use balance in pictures. I also learned how to do tables in html. I also learned about the different things that happened during World War II and what some of the mistakes were in World War II. I also learned about current events and how we can preserve peace by not doing certain things. Like not having too much pride and not too arrogant and to just be humble. I would like to thank my mom and dad for supporting me and my coaches for helping us build the site.

Aloha! My name is Marissa aka "Smart Cookie"and I live in Hawaii. I'm in the 6th grade. I have a Mom, a Dad and a sister. My birthday is on May 26. My hobbies are reading books, playing games on the computer and swimming. My favorite school subject is band and I play the alto saxophone.
ThinkQuest was the best program that I've been in because it's lots of fun because I get to meet new people people, learn computer skills, and to be more responsible about meeting deadlines. This is my second year in ThinkQuest and my part of the site was on the internment camps. I did a historical fiction animation, four resource files and two interviews that you can watch. I also had to make a header for my part of the web site. I learned in flash how to put sound in it, how to do a motion tween, putting pictures in flash, and publishing a flash. In html I learned how to put in tables, how to put music in a html. I learned how to make a header in adobe photoshop and how to put a drop shadow on a picture. I would like to thank my Mom and Dad helping me to correct my resource articles and letters and for taking me to ThinkQuest. Also for being very supportive and helpful. I am also thanking my Grandpa for getting me to ThinkQuest too. I would especially like to thank my two very special coaches, Mrs. Sueoka and Mr. Kikuta! I want to thank them for helping me solve problems that I encountered, for teaching me all of the skills that I've acquired, and for giving me an experience to remember!
Hi, my name is Steven. I am in the
fifth grade and I am ten years old. I like to play video games,
skateboard, go scootering, roller blading, and doing things on the
computer.
We also have great coaches that helped us from the beginning to end. We also have great people like Daniel Martinez that gave me permission to use Pearl Harbor pictures and Richard Abrams that gave me permission to use the taps wav file and other wav files. I learned a lot of things from ThinkQuest. I learned how to do flash, HTML, photoshop, and to type faster. It has been great being in ThinkQuest!

struggling and when I had no idea what something was. They were really a
big help. I would really like to thank the teammates parents for
believing in us.
I would like to also thank LABO for giving us ideas on how to improve on our site. I would also like to thank my coaches Mrs.Sueoka, and Mr.Kikuta for teaching me more computer skills and I also gained my knowledge. I learned a lot of things that I didn't know like collage, making a site. And I would like to join this team next year!

Wuzzzzzz Up? My name is Cherie aka "Hyper Cookie" and I'm 12 years old and in the 6th grade. Some of my hobbies are surfing the net, playing games on my computer, talking on the phone, shopping, and riding my scooter, bike, or roller blading. I have a younger sister and brother and a pet cat named Tabby. I did the Hiroshima and Preserving Peace part on our site. It was kind of confusing because I would upload into the wrong directory and it would mess up my files. I was really touched when I read about some of the children who had to suffered during the war in a book called "Children of Hiroshima". It was fun working in Flash and inputting music. For the Preserving Peace part it was really neat collaborating and writing to Japan. It was awsome to know that children in Japan have the same interests as children in Hawaii! I learned how to fade in and out, import music, create motion tween, and publish in Flash. I also learned how to feather and fade pictures in Photoshop. The best thing about ThinkQuest is meeting new people and making new friends, going to Kauai, going on field trips and sleeping over at our coach's house. I would like to give much mahalos to my family for giving me the support I needed, to Melissa, Marissa, Eleen, Sean, and Steven (my team members), and last but not least Mrs. Sueoka and Mr. Kikuta (my coaches). |
