How we did the Collaboration

First our coach introduced us to the teacher from Japan and I wrote a letter to them explaining about what we're doing. I also had some questions about Hiroshima for them and when they wrote back they had questions for us about the Arizona Memorial.

We had two chats; one with Torigoe Yuko their teacher and 1 with the LABO Kids. Torigoe Yuko had to work very hard because she was their and our only interpreter! To prep for the chat we sent them an email asking them questions for critiquing our flashes so when we started chatting they were prepared and we didn't have to wait for them to write back. Before we "met" them, we did a Christmas mpeg for the "social" part. They also sent us a Happy New Year mpeg video. We also exchanged URL's for our web pages. We exchanged our planning site and they gave us their websites.

The Japan students were also a valuable source for us because Natsuki (one of the girls) had grandparents that she interviewed. Last but not least our collaboration lasted 4 months and we hope it lasts forever!
