The Tyrannosaurus rex was the biggest and most terrifying killing machine to walk the earth. A T-rex could swallow more meat in one mouthful then a family in 2 months. He was called the "king of the tyrant lizards." These huge, huge creatures were alive in the Late Cretaceous Period.

Tyrannosaurus rex's arms were too short to reach its mouth, and its hands had only two fingers instead of three, making it unable to grasp.

The T-rex had depth perception since both eyes faced forward on the front of its skull and not on its sides.

The Tyrannosaurus rex had a stiff, pointed tail. The tail was used as a counterbalance for its enormous head, for agility, and for making quick turns.

It has vicious claws, a strong head and neck, and powerful jaws that made the T-rex an efficient killer. Researchers think that the T-rex relied on surprise attacks to kill its prey.
