What Is A Ghost?

 A ghost is the spirit of a dead person who visits the living. Most people do not believe in ghosts, but some do. Sightings or hearings of ghosts have been reported throughout the years- more so in medieval times than today. There are ghost stories that people like to hear. There have been
a lot more movies, books, and shows about ghosts.

There are different kinds of ghosts.
One kind of ghost is a poltergeist which teases people, makes weird noises, and makes things move without anyone touching it.

Another kind of ghost, a malevolent ghost, is usually the spirit of a person who was murdered or otherwise harmed by relatives or friends. Such a ghost may try to reveal who murdered it-as in William Shakespeare's Hamlet -or try to frighten the murderer - as in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Most malevolent ghosts haunt the place where in their real form they were murdered or buried. Some ways that people try to get rid of ghosts include reburying the ghost's body, piercing the ghost's grave with a stake, and praying. Some ghosts are friendly like Casper.
I believe in ghosts because, there are a lot of scary noises when it is dark. A bunch of scary movies have ghosts in them, and one time I saw one in my dreams. Also, when I go to cemeteries at night, my imagination takes over and I think I see ghosts.

I don't believe in ghosts because I think for everything there is a logical reason. It's true that I have heard and seen things, but I don't think that it is caused by ghosts. If you hear creaking noises it could be someone walking on the floor above you. I just don't believe ghosts do or ever will exist.

I don't believe in ghosts. The only way you could make me believe in them is to present a solid fact about an incident that points directly to the existence of ghosts. No one has ever found one, and I doubt that anyone ever will. There have been sightings, rumors, and legends about ghosts, but I doubt that any of them are true. There is one more thing you should take into consideration: people's imaginations. If you can prove ghosts exist, I might believe it, but so far I have not been given any real, solid proof.

No, I do not believe in ghosts. First, I'm not a believer. Most people who think that ghosts are real are deceived because it's only their imagination. Why do they have such wild imaginations? Well, it's because of T.V. shows, horror or scary movies and books. For example, I read this book call Goosebump: Stay Out of the Basement. After I read this book, my imagination made me have nightmares for a week. When you see the T.V. shows that say some people actually see a ghost and it's on tape, it's probably a prank or they made it up on the computer to sell it. A lot of those have a very strong influence for a person to believe ghosts just to make money. That's why I don't believe in ghosts. It's just imagination playing tricks on your mind.

I believe in ghosts because when I was little I used to play in my room with toy cars. Some times the lights would go out in my room for three seconds. When the lights came back on my cars were gone. I believe it was my evil twin Lester that died in 1995, just five years ago. I believe it was him because when he was a child he had no toys so he takes mine when the lights go out. I also think it was him because ever time it snows, I go out and play by myself. Then tthhoommpp! I get hit with a snow ball. I turn around and no one is there. Finally, I think it was him because that's just the way he is.
