Aquila

Aquila is recognized by several ancients as an eagle.  In ancient Greece it was the eagle that carried the thunderbolts of Jove in his battle with the Titans.  Another myth is that Aquila carried Ganymede, the son of the king of Troy, to serve as cup bearer to the gods, and Ganymede became the constellation Aquarius.  Aquila stridlles the celestial equator.
