 At
first Medusa was a beautiful lady and she she was turned into a
gorgon by Athena for having an affair with Poseidon in her temple.
Then she was slaughtered by Perseus and the beautiful Pegasus sprang up
out of her head. Anyone that Medusa would look at would automatically
turn into stone. Medusa had sisters who were also turned into
Gorgons.
