Titans
The Titans, also known as the Elder Gods, were the gods who ruled before the Olympians took over. The ruler of the Titans was Cronus, who was overthrown by his son, Zeus. Cronus was the only Titan actually killed in the war, the other Titans who fought alongside Cronus were banished to Tartarus (the underworld). When they eventually escaped, they fought a long battle with the Olympians (who also had Heracles on their side) with the Olympians winning, again.
