Oceanus

Oceanus is one of the 12 original titans and he oversaw Venus (the planet) with Tethys.  In several different stories Oceanus is described as taking form of a stream or river that girdles a female person from which all living things originate. He is also known as the father of all rivers and seas. Oceanus was also known to have more than 6,000 children. 3,000 sons plus The other 3,000 daughters were nymphs called Oceanids. One of the Nymphs was named Tyche. Tyche is the goddess of good luck and fortune. Oceanus is also known for having control over the seas and is said to have interfered with the passing of the ship that carried Heracles through the Mediterranean sea.
