Hera was the
queen of all the Greek gods and goddesses. She was the daughter of
Cronus and Rhea. She was the wife of
Zeus. Their wedding night lasted for 300
years. She is the mother of Ares,
Hebe,
Hephaestus and Eileithya. They had an unhappy marriage because Zeus was unfaithful.
This made her angry and jealous. Hera is the goddess of life. She concentrates on the welfare of women and children. Peacock and the cow are
her sacred animals. Hera is the goddesses most concerned with the welfare of

a beautiful looking cow named Io. She had a monster with
100 eyes named Argus guard the cow.
