Athena

Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom.  Even though she is the goddess of war, she also associated with peace and compassion. Athena sprang up out of Zeus' head fully armed when Hephaestus split his head open with an ax. Athena lost a contest against Hera and Aphrodite to become the fairest goddess in Olympus. Paris was to be the judge. Hera offered wealth to Paris, Athena offered wisdom and Aphrodite offered beauty and love. Of course, the winner was Aphrodite.
