Kidney

You have two kidneys in your body which are located just above the waist. The kidneys filter the blood and eliminate waste in the form of urine. Hypertension, infections, and kidney stones are diseases that can cause the kidneys to fail. Just a portion of a kidney is needed to function in order to live normally, so only one kidney is transplanted.
