Cornea

The cornea is the transparent part of the outer coat of the eyeball. It covers the iris and the pupil. Cornea blindness is the only type of blindness that is curable. When it is transplanted, clear vision can be restored. Finding a match is usually not a problem due to the limited blood supply to the cornea. Even if you are blind, you can still donate your cornea.
