   Endangered Animals

There once was a flying bat,
That looked pretty fat.
        That bat was crying,
'Cause all his friends were dying,
How could we forget that bat?

             Bats

Many bats have lost their way.
We just have nothing to say.
When the bats all die out,
All the people will cry out.
Let's find a way for them to stay.

        Flying Squirrels

This state has flying squirrels,
And mussels that made some pearls.
        Until the poachers came,
        To catch their game,
Now we kill those poor squirrels.

          Mussels

There was a boy in a hustle,
To go and find a mussel.
       When he got there,
       The creek was bare,
Where, oh where, are those mussels?

Threatened Animals
The endangered animals are rare creatures.
Hey, they even have unusual features.
Right you are, they do live here.
Everyday their end comes near.
All of them are not real tall.
They might even by very small.
Each species has been slain.
Now our attempt to save them is not in vain.
Each one is different in its own way.
Do each of us now have to pay?

Endangered Animals
Endangered animals are big and small.
Nocturnal bats are important to us all.
Did you know the Eastern Cougar may be lost.
And we needed to keep the species at all cost.
Now flying squirrels live in the trees.
Gray Bats like to fly in the breeze.
Every land snail has a built in home.
Rare salamanders are looking for a place to roam.
Everyone needs to do their part.
Doing what they know is smart.
