Running Buffalo Clover
The Running Buffalo Clover
is a perennial. It grows to be 3 to 6 inches tall and has a round
flower on the top of a straight stem. It can be propagated from cuttings.
It prefers the rich soil between
the forest and the open land. Most of the clover is found in areas
which have grazing animals or the land is mowed.
Reason for the species decline in populations:
The Running Buffalo Clover
has been destroyed by trampling of animals and humans. Its habitat
has been destroyed by the cutting of woodland areas.
Protection:
Little is known about the Running
Buffalo Clover. It will remain on the endangered species list until
more is known.
