The Mummy Saga Continues. . .
The 1999 movie, "The Mummy"
is another in along series of mummy movies that started with
the first Lon Channey movie in 1932. Is there really such a
thing as a "mummy curse?" Or is it a Hollywood ploy
to sell tickets. This new movie's special effects were incredible!
Dung beatles everywhere and a mummy
that killed and grew stronger each time. All this and a touch
of comedy make it a movie you won't soon forget! Don't miss
it!

Elmer Mc Curdy
Did
you know there was an outlaw who became a mummy? After dying in
a gun fight, the body of Elmer McCurdy went unclaimed for 5 years.
Claiming they wanted to give him a proper burial. . . he ended
up in a sideshow and later a funhouse. During the filming of an
episode of the Six Million Dollar Man his arm fell off while being
moved. . . a bone sticking out was a “dead giveaway” he was human.

Evita

Did you ever hear the
song, "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"? The real person
that sang that is now a mummy. No! Not Madonna! We're talking
about Evita Peron, wife of Juan Peron former president of Argentina.
After she died, Dr.
Pedro Ara began a year long secret mummification process that
included treatments of plastics and chemicals in her blood to
help mummify her and a special coating of plastic.. When her
grave was opened at
the time of her husband's death nineteen years later, SHE WAS
PERFECTLY PRESERVED! She now rests in Recoleta Cementary in Buenos
Aires. It is said to be in a bomb proof shelter.

Mummy Rap, Mummy Rap
Mum...mum...mummy rap
With their insides sealed
in a jar,
They were soaked in salt and covered
with tar.
They continue to exist,
From long ago.
All dressed up and no place to go.
Mummy rap, Mummy Rap
Mum...mum...mummy rap.
Baked in the sun, covered
in tar,
Frozen or freeze dried is what they
are.
For thousands of years man and beast
Have been mummified by a high priest.
Either sacraficed in a bog or frozen
solid under a log,
In an avalance of ice is where they
fell,
Every mummy has a story to tell!
Mummy Rap, Mummy Rap
Mum...mum...mummy rap.
