Meet Dr. and Dr. Chase, archeologists at Caracol. Although they won’t find any mummies (the Mayans drop their sacrifices into deep holes), they are examples of the dedicated and devoted people that work to unwrap the past.
Now since they don’t have a phone in their grass house, we contacted them through their media manager, the News Bureau Director of the University of Central Florida, Jerry Kline. He assured us that when he went to see the Chase’s in Caracol, he would have a safe trip, and “I'll be watching out for the snakes, spiders, mosquitoes and Pumas. I write my name in my boots because I understand the pumas spit them out.”

If you can’t make it to Belize, Central America to visit them at Caracol__ the largest Mayan Archeological site__be sure to check out their web site at www.caracol.org. You’ll meet their children, staff members and read about their work. Their resume will make you wish it was yours.

The Ancient Mayans were a very advanced civilization that had a calendar, hieroglyphics and engineering skills that enabled them to build large cities and step pyramids. The civilization disappeared as a result of war and disease.

Their Bathtub is top of the line.
