All About the Piano

When you press a key on the piano it makes a sound .A piano can play a variety of loud and soft notes with speed. When you press several keys at once they have lots of sounds.

There are several styles of a piano .The grand piano, the upright piano, the player piano and the electronic piano. They are made up of different woods such as mahogany. A piano has main several parts; the (1) string (2) keyboard (3) action (4) pedal (5) frame (6) sound board (7) case.

Most all pianos have strings that are made of steel. Most pianos have more than 220 strings that are tuned to one of 88 pitches. The strings are different lengths. They go from 6 to 80 inches. The longest strings are lowest in pitch and form the bass section, which is on the left side of the piano. The shortest strings are highest in pitch and form the treble section, which is on the right.
