Temperate Deciduous Forest
The temperate deciduous forest is found in the middle
latitudes all over the world. These types of forests are called deciduous
forests often. It is actually the temperate forests. It has four seasons
winter, summer, spring, and automn. Spring and automn are mild, winter
is cold, and summer is hot. Many kinds of animals and plants live in this
biome. The common plants are: beeches, maples, cherries, oaks, hickories,
mosses, small shrubs, small flowering plants, and liches. Some of the animals
are: salamanders, snails, whitetail deers, beavers, opossums, chipmunks,
mice, owls, shrews, raccoons, turtles, quails, eagles, and snakes. The
animals live on the soil as well as high up in the tall trees. There are
a few layers and in each, many animals live. The temperate deciduous forests
cover eastern North America, western Europe, and Eastern Asia.
