Wild African Violet- It is extremely threatened because people keep picking them in the rain forest. But the way they are being saved is they are being cultivated by people that care. These plants have to live in warmth but away from direct sunlight just like there real habitat the rain forest.
There are also air plants such a such as bromeliads; they are popular air plants . Air plants absorb water and nutrients from rain running off the leaves of the trees above them. A common one is Spanish moss, which hangs down off trees and looks like a tangled bunch of cobwebs.
Another plant is Nasturtiums; they are very popular garden plants. They have been cultivated to produce into a range of colors such as oranges, reds, yellows and more than one color petals. They grow in other forests also.
There are also an assortment of trees such as the Kauri Pine. They live in the cooler spot of the forests. Some have real leaves other than the normal pine needles.
