The Haddock belongs to the
codfish family. They have black lines on each side of their bodies and black spots behind
each side of its head. Its front fin is pointed. The Haddock lives in the Western North
Atlantic, off the coast of New England, Newfoundland, Novascotia, off the coast of
Northern Europe, Great Britain, Iceland, and the North Sea. They weigh three pounds and
are about two feet long. They travel in schools and live along the ocean floor. They eat
crab, shrimp, worms, and small fish. |
