Seals are carnivorous animals, feeding on mussels and oysters. They are distinguished from sea lions by their internal ears. Seals have inflexible necks and undeveloped forelimbs. They stroke these vertically while swimming like the tail of a dolphin. Seals are adapted to living in water and therefore have a hard time moving on land.
