This "big cat" isn't very big at all. In fact, it is about the same size as a house cat. Half of its length of 18 in. is made up of its tail. Rusty-spotted cats are nocturnal and are found mainly in dry grasslands, scrub lands, but some are even found in open forests. Because of its size, its diet consist mostly of small rodents. The main threat to the cat is the loss of habitat.
