Pumas are also called Cougars, Panthers, and Mountain Lions. The puma hunts alone during the day and the night. Since the puma can grow to be 2 meters long, it has earned a bad reputation with livestock farmers by eating cattle and horses. It also eats wild deer, sheep, rodents, rabbits, hare, and beaver. The puma jumps on its prey, making an impressive 40 foot running jump.
