Pampas Cat

The pampas cat ,also known as the grass cat, is a very small cat. It is usually a little over 2 ft. in length, and its tail is approximately half of its size. Its long base fur can be any color from gray to yellow-brown and is covered with dark streaks. Pampas cats are found in most of western and central South America. Because of its wide range, it is at home in many habitats including grassland plains, dense equatorial forests, and high altitude mountain scrub. The pampas cat is a nocturnal hunter, preying on small mammals, rodents, and birds. It will sometime eat domestic poultry when near a populated area.
