Killer Whales
These water mammals, nicknamed "sea wolves", can
grow to be 32 ft. long and hunt in packs . Their diet includes fish, sharks,
squids, marine birds, and other whales. Like the dolphin, the killer whales
communicate in a system of squeals, whistles and clicks and use echolocation
to get around. Killer whales stay in the same natal pod for their whole
lives but to prevent inbreeding, they breed with other pods. The killer
whale's only enemy is man.
