Native cats live in the forests of Australia and Tasmania. There are four species of native cats- the chuditch, the quoll, the satanellus, and the tiger cat. All of these species have brown or black fur with white spots. The tiger cat is the largest meat-eating marsupial in Australia. They grow to be up to be four feet long, including their tails. Tiger cats may weigh more than four pounds. All native cats ear insects, birds, mice, and lizards. |
