| The mongoose lemur is in the Primate order, the Mammalia class, and
is also a member of the Lemuridae family, and the Lemur mogooz Genus species.
Mongoose lemurs live in moist, decidious and second growth forests of northwestern Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. The mongoose lemur's bodie is 12.5 to 14.5 inches long. With itÕs tail being eighteen to twenty inches long. Male mongoose lemurs are grey with faces and red cheeks, while females have darker faces with white cheeks. They must have strong binocular vision and see well at night. |
