Found in Australia, the marsupial mole is on of the strangest marsupials. This animal is only fourteen to twenty centimeters long. They spend almost their whole lives digging for food under the desert. Marsupial moles have sharp feet which help to tunnel through the sand. Their heads push the sand. Marsupial moles never have to drink. They breathe between grains of sand. Marsupial moles are blind and their ears are covered by their skin. Marsupial moles have pale golden fur. Their breeding habits are unknown because they are hardly ever seen.
