Koala Bears 

     The koala bear is in the Diprotodontia ofer, the Phascolarctidae family, the Vombatiformes suborder, and the Phascolarctos Cinerus Genus speices. Male koala bears 30.7 inches long, and females are 28 onches long. The weight of southern koala bears differs from that of northen koala bears. Southern males weigh 26 pounds and northern females weigh 17.4 pounds. Northern males weigh 14.3 pounds and northern females weigh 11.2 pounds. At birth, koala bears weigh only 0.5 grams, and are the size of a bee. The coat of koala bears is the thickest of all marsupials. Their fur is gray with white on the chest, chin, and front limbs. They have fluffy ears with long white hair. The lief span of a koala bear is 13 to 18 years. Koala bears eat eucalyptus trees. Their biggest predator is man. Koala bears are endangered due to hunting.
