Beluga Whale
This arctic dwelling mammal is a very interesting
animal. Beluga whales have a stout body, prominent beak, and a large bulge
or "melon" on its head. Because the beluga whale's seven vertebrae are
not fused, it can turn its head backwards and look behind it. They can
swim backwards and forwards. Adult beluga Can grow to be 16 ft. Long and
can weigh 3300 lbs. Beluga whales eat worms crustaceans, squid , octopus,
and small fish. The beluga whale can stay underwater for 20 min.
