This animal has short white hairs, black hairs, black ears, and a pale face. Aye-ayes are considered the strangest of all primates and live in the northwest forests of Madagascar. They eat insect larvae, the inside of ramy nuts, nectar, and fungi. They mate all year long, with one offspring every 2 to 3 years. Aye-ayes have a life span of 26 years in captivity, but their life span in the wild is unknown. |
