Asian Golden Cat

The Asian golden cat can be found in eastern and central Africa. Its color varies greatly throughout its range. The base color varies from reddish golden brown to grey. Its markings also vary greatly. In the south, it is common for a cat not to have any markings, except for faint spots on its underside and white lines running along its cheeks from the corners of its eyes. The cats to the north tend to have dark reddish brown spots. Although it is known to be nocturnal, not much is known about its diet. Most likely, it eats large rodents, small deer, reptiles, birds, and amphibians.
