Religion
The Egyptians didn't worship the same thing you and I would worship. They worshipped gods such as Osiris, Bast, Ra, and Horus, and goddesses such as Isis. Most of these gods and goddesses resembled humans.
Osiris was the god of the Underworld. When you see him, he would be green
or black. The reason he is shown like that is because he's dead.
Horus was the hawk god. He was the son of Osiris and Isis. You may notice
that he only has one eye, and the reason being is that his evil uncle Set (Seth)poked one
eye out.
For a long time gods were worshipped together. When Ankenaton became king, he changed that. After he died and Tut took his place, it all went back to normal. For more info check out our gods page.
