Amset- a god who is one of the Four Sons of Horus and protected the liver of the dead

Anubis- the god of embalming

Book of the Dead- a collection of spells and hymns put inside of a dead persons tomb

Canopic Jars- the organs were placed in these and carried the Four Sons of Horus on them

Duamutef- a god who was one of the Four Sons of Horus and protected the stomach

Gods and Goddesses- what the Egyptians based their religion on

Hapi- a god who was one of the Four Sons of Horus and protected the lungs

Horus- the falcon god

Isis- goddess of magic, mother of Horus, wife and sister of Osiris

Maat- a goddess who determines the kind of life the dead had lived

Mummy- a preserved body made by the Egyptians and others, they were made thousands of years ago

Osiris- god of the Underworld and the first mummy

Ptah- was said to have created the Earth

Pyramid-the dead's tomb was placed here and builders began when the Pharoah was born

Qebhsenuef- a god who was one of the Four Sons of Horus and protected the intestines

Ra- the sun god

Set- an evil god who killed his brother,Osiris, and attempted to kill his nephew, Horus

Thoth- was the god of wisdom and written word
