Directions for Cardboard Loom Weaving

I am going tell you how to make a cardboard loom weaving. The materials you need are safety pins, yarn, cardboard, and a ruler. Start by getting a rectangular piece of cardboard. Draw vertical lines a half inch long on the top and bottom of the cardboard. Cut on the lines. Next thread a long piece through the slits to make the warp. Wrap the string around the slits until full. Tie the ends of the string together on the back of the loom when finished. Then tie a piece of yarn to a safety pin. Then go under and over each of the vertical warp threads. Weave back and forth loosely across the rows until no more yarn or needing to change color. When you finish one row and you end going over the yarn start back by going under the yarn. When done cut the threads in the back, tie the ends together in groups of two, and cut the threads to a desirable length.
A word of caution: As you weave under and over the yarn be careful not to pull your yarn too tightly.
