This story is about a boy who is adopted by an
Indian man. The whites told the Indians to let go all their white captives. The boy's name
is True Son and the Indian man's name is Cuyloga. True Son had to follow the whites on a
long journey. On the way he meets his cousin Half Arrow and Little Crane. When they got to
Fort Pit True Son met his white father. After that he went to his white house there he met
his little brother Gordie, his aunt Kate, and his mother Myra Butler. They have a bonquit
for his return. Half Arrow and Little Crane come to rescue him. True Son escapes with Half
Arrow and finds out that Little Crane was killed. When the village found out that Little
Crane had been killed, they sent out a war party.They split into two groups and one group
brought back three scalps. Then True Son lures some white people in to shore but warns
them in time for them to get away. It ends up that True Son goes to the whites.
I liked this book. There was one
bad part and that was the scalping part. I recommend this book to you.
