A Promise is a Promise is a book about a little girl named Allashua. Her mother tells her not to go down to the sea because of the Qallupilluit. Well then the little girl goes down to the sea and calls out all these bad stuff at the Qallupilluit, and then the Qallupilluit pull Allashua under water .She finally gets lose, and walks home soaking wet. Then the Qallupilluit come to the house and say "you promised us your brothers and sisters ." Then the mother gives the children stuff like candy and told the Qallupilluit they wouldn’t like it. Then the children sneaked out of the house and went down to the sea and yelled for the Qallupilluit but they weren’t there (because they were at the house).And then the Qallupilluit said they wanted the children and Allashua.
