Chapter 7

Homeward

Chandler pushed Holly from the path of the bubbles and pulled the trigger on the bubble gun simultaneously. The bubbles, luckily were frozen by the enemy's bubbles. The other bubbles hit the ducks and knocked them backwards into a wall in which they stayed down.

"~Yargh!~"

"~Ach!~"

"~Ahhhhhhh!~"

The cries of the ducks filled the room. Holly crept back to her chamber and hid, peeking her head out to watch the battle. Chandler eventually ran back to the door facing the chamber and grabbed Holly. She followed him and rushed out the door. More ducks awaited them and tried to use their spears on them. Chandler greeted them by shooting them with his bubble gun. Holly watch Chandler admirably as he dodged the bubbles flying in every direction. Chandler led Holly up several flights of stairs to the roof avoiding ducks along the way.

"Chandler!" a familiar voice shouted. Tor fluttered over to them on the roof. "Chandler! The Captain is…" He was interrupted by a duck entering the roof.

"~You sure have caused a lot of trouble! I have orders to detain you in ice!~" the duck shouted.

"Ordered by who?!" Holly demanded.

The ducks became incensed by Holly's question and began pointing their spears at the brother and sister who had been causing such chaos in their world. Chandler lunged at the lead duck.

"NO!" shouted Candler as a bubble shot out toward Holly knocking her backward and off the roof! Chandler quickly wrapped his grappling hook rope around a pipe protruding out of the roof and secured it. He threw himself over the edge of the roof.

"Chandler!" Chandler heard a voice. He saw the ground speeding toward him and suddenly everything was black.

"Chandler! Wake up!" he heard Holly say as she gently shook him.

"Holly?…Holly!" he shouted.

"Shhhhhhh! We're here at Aunt and Uncle's!"

"What? Where's Tor?" he asked.

"Who is Tor?" Holly gave him a look.

"Tor! And Magma, and Jackie, and the robot, and the ducks, and the roof, and the Mayor, and…" Chandler stopped. Tor was drawn on the paper in front of him. The truth hit him. It was all a dream!

Chandler gathered his things together and stood to exit the plane. He looked at his sister and said, "I'm glad you are OK."

Holly looked at him with a strange look and said, "I am fine. So fine that YOU are milking the cow, not me!" They both exited the plane laughing.
