| Fort Hall was founded by Nathaniel
Wyeth. Later, Fort Hall was a rest stop for the flow of settlers. Fort
Hall has a soveriegn government. One of the highlights of the year
is the Shoshone-Bannock Dance Festival. Top dancers and music
groups come from all over the world to dance at the annual festival. The
festival is four days long. There are contests, parades, relay races and
rodeos.
The Shoshone or known as Snake Nation, occupied areas in the east and the west of the Rocky Mountains not like the west bands of the Rockies they lived in grass huts without roofs and hunted fish birds and rabbits. |
