The Cons of Genetic Engineering The Cons of Genetic Engineering

Some scientists believe that in genetic engineering, there have been too many failures.

Out of 277 tries of cloning a female ewe only 29 became embryos and only one clone made it, Dolly.
Out of 135 tries of cloning a single monkey, the scientists working on the project have officially failed.
There is evidence that there will be fetal deaths along with everything we try. There is placental (placenta is the tissue that connects the fetus via the umbilical cord) abnormalities and swelling 3 to 4 times the normal rate of umbilical problems.

If It's in the Wrong Hands, It Will Become a Disaster!

If a scientist wanted so much for a 'perfect race', they may genetically alter our DNA for a smarter, sexier, more athletic race. No one will know about the person, so the person will marry, and their descendants will continually multiply. There may not be anyone with the original DNA structure left! In 2000 years, they may become humans with their brains plugged into the internet 24/7! They will be able to learn things in a few seconds. If they just think about it and they'll know how to do it! Everyone will know the same thing, if not, they'll learn. Why will anyone go to school or college? People will not have anymore dreams, and or any spirit to fulfil them. If everyone is equally good at something, even from birth, why would people specialize in different occupations? Why would there be need for jobs like a cook at a resturaunt when you can cook as well as anyone else? All meaning in life will be gone!
Scientists can mix species for example creating a half human half goat. They are also capable of making headless human for organ farms, but will it be used for only that? A headless animal would de in a matter of seconds because of no oxygen. Some sick person with this knowledge may make headless animals or people for fun.
