Black Bears live in North America . Although people think of Black Bears as vicious creatures, the Black Bear is a gentle creature but sometimes can get rough and tough when angry. Dr.Lynn Rogers invented a bear cam so people can actually see the hibernation of bears and examine what happens without disturbing the bear.

            A Black Bears weight for a average male is 425 lbs. and the avgerage female is 200 lbs.  That's a 225 pound difference!  Black Bears are Omnivors so they eat meat , fruits, nuts, vegtables, and bread.  A Black Bears' height is: on four legs 3-4 ft ;standing 4-7 ft.  Their length is 4-6 ft.
