Michelanglo lived in the most
famous time period of art.
Michelanglo was
among the greastest sculptors and
painters of all time . Michelanglo's
artistic abilities were discovered when he was thirteen years old. He went to live with Lorenzo the Magnificent who was like a father to him.
 In 1496
he painted Madonna della Peita.
It is still standing in the church of St. Peter in Rome. In 1501, he worked on the statue of David . It is now one of the most
  famous statues in the world.  In 1508 and
1512 he worked on the Sistine Chapel . He painted 60 feet above the floor and completed the entire project without any help.

Michelangelo was the last giant
of Italy 's " golden" age of art .
