Did you know that people thought Leonardo was weird not only because he was left handed but also because he kept dead bodies in his house ?  The dead bodies were for his studies on the human body . He disected both human bodies and animal bodies .
     He also studied birds in order to design some type of contraption to get man off the ground . Although he never got around to actually building his inventions, he was the first person to design the helicopter . He also designed "the digging machine " that used a metal claw to dig out the side of a hill .
