Michel's Chapel    Ceiling

The Sistine Chapel is about man's creation . It was painted by Michelangelo Buonarroti between 1508 and 1512. If you think it's the sixteenth chapel it's not it's the Sistine Chapel . Today the Sistine Chapel
is considered to be one of the wonders of the world . When he was painting the ceiling the paint often dripped down on him which made him very sick. He almost didn't continue painting the ceiling , but the pope at the time made him continue painting . The ceiling wasn't originaly painted by Michelangelo . He was told to repaint the ceiling by Pope Julius II della Rovere in 1508 . It was completed in  1541.
