Items Needed

1cup of sugar

1/2 cup of sugar

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

2 tablespoons of vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon of almond extract

Yellow food coloring (optional)

1-Blend butter and sugar.(mix until fluffy)

2-Add extract and add several drops of food coloring.

3-Add sifted flour 1/2 cup at a time. (mix with hands after adding flour)

4-Flour pastry board. Take 1/2 cup of dough at a time, and roll until narrow about 3/8 inches thick.

5-Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

6-If desired, dip rasins in confectionors ' sugar and water.
