There is also things to represent another winter holiday, Epiphany.

Epiphany is celebrated on January sixth and is a day of gift giving. People in Spain, and many other places hold parades for three kings. The three kings are Balthazar, Gasper, and Melchior. The three kings or wise men gave gifts to baby Jesus. Epiphany means manifestation. From December twenty-fith to January sixth are called the Holy Days. The last day is Epiphany. The three kings give gifts to children.

Children leave shoes under the tree or on their balcony. Three kings leave presents all around the room. When children are bad they get pieces of coal made out of sugar throughout their presents. They do not think this is such a horrible thing. Leaving out a glass of Cognac for the kings to drink is a custom. If one celebrates this holiday one might get a rosken cake which means ‘ring shaped roll’.
