Usually, wear a pair of pink ballet hose, a black leotard and pink ballet shoes as a basic. If you are in a company (one of the highest levels of Ballet) You can wear mostly what you want, except jeans and street clothing.

The basic positions are First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth .

Ballet can be exciting and fun but can also be challenging.

Here is a checklist for getting started in ballet

• Have your mom or dad find a teacher that has the right skills
• Go to the ballet school and meet the teacher and see if you like her
• Go to the dance store and find the right outfit for your class
• When your ballet class starts make sure to have fun

When you are at the barre make sure to have the correct grip and pay attention to your teacher.

When you are at school you should have fun but you should be serious and try to learn a lot, too! (And make sure to do what your teacher tells you to do).

When you have been in a studio for a while they will start to put on ballet acts on stage. You will have a pretty good chance to get a part in one of them and that is exciting!

When you play the part you need to play the part well because you are in front of everybody so make it count!
