Review
The Robotic Arm Trainer looks like something
from the movie Star Wars. It is a large mechanical arm complete
with transparent housing to see the intricate gear work. It appears
very like its industrial robot model, but it is extremely different.
The Robotic Arm trainer is controlled by wire control method,
not with a computer brain or controlled by sensors. This robot,
when arm extended to full length, stands 21 inches tall.
Pros
This interactive robot kit provides
mobility activities for after you are done building. These
include building block towers, testing speed of joints, and even
drawing!
Cons
If you haven't built a robot yet, I
wouldn't recommend doing the battery box wiring. It is
very complicated, and I had to do it over again to
ensure proper connections.
Educational Value
What did it teach?
I learned about gear teeth counts. If
gear #1 has 10 teeth, and gear #2 has 20 teeth, the gear ratio
is 1:2.
