African Lady: Hello!
You: Hello! I am an American on a visit to Africa. I find your culture very interesting. Could you tell me what tribe you are from and what you are doing?
African Lady: Certainly! I am from a Maasai tribe. I am getting married today, to a man I hardly know. I have to leave all my family and friends of my tribe.
You: It doesnt sound like such a great wedding. Its so different!
African Lady: Hello sir, could I interest you in some freshly picked ripe mangos?
You: Thank you, I would like to try as many African foods as I can. You see, I am a visitor from America. Could you show me some more foods?
African Lady: Gladly! We have a variety of foods, including okra, chicken, coconut and peanuts. Peanuts are a very common food for a lot of recipes here.
You: Excuse me, but would you sell me that guitar?
African Man: This? No, I will not sell this, but I have other instruments I will sell.
You: Would you show them to me?
African man: Gladly! I have an instrument called the Mbira. Its made of a hollowed out gourd, with metal "keys", which are plucked with your thumb. It is often referred to as a hand piano.
You: Thank you!
You: Hello! How are you today?
Girl: Fine, thank you! I am walking home from the school with my friends. We go to school in the town. How are you?
You: Im fine too. I am a visitor from America. It is my first time in Africa!
Girl: I hope you enjoy your trip! Good bye!
You: Good bye!
